This week’s theme is black and white. Black and white conversions in digital photography have several methods. One is setting your digital camera to only take a black and white photo via an on-camera filter, or another is via a post processing editing method using photoshop or other editing software. These methods could include channel mixer, lab color method, gradient map or desaturation. Since it is my goal to step out of my comfort zone for these assignments, I left my beloved 85mm lens at home and put on my wide angle lens. I’ve had this lens for about 6 months now and it is rarely on my camera. It was definitely a new experience for me and rest assured, I have new respect for landscape phtoographers. I’ve been meaning to go to the quaint town of Morro Bay for some time now and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do so. My sweet hubby watched the kids while I roamed the town for a couple hours. There was so much to see. Sea lions, fishing boats, people eating dungeoness crab, wine tasting, live bands on the dock, salt water taffy, the list goes on and on. If you ever take a scenic drive up the Pacific Coast Hwy, you must stop by, you won’t regret it!! Now, let’s head on over to Maureen Wilson | Mccomb Mississippi photographer to see her take on the assignment!!
