Fifty-two on Friday : [8] Fashion ~ Jessica Iverson Couture of Santa Barbara

Welcome to another installment of “Fifty-two on Friday”.  This week’s theme is FASHION and what could be more fitting than a commercial shoot I did for Jessica Iverson Couture of Santa Barbara.  What I find most intriguing about her bridal gowns is that they are eco-friendly.

“Natural, organic, and consciously sourced fabrics are found through all our collections. We offer many different options depending on your needs… cruelty free vegan silks, organic cottons, recycled polyester satin, remnant fabrics, undyed / bleached, vegetable dyed and/or chemical free dyed silks, vintage trim and more are incorporated into our designs.”  ~ Jessica Iverson

This session was shot in Santa Barbara and was styled by the one and only Summer Watkins of Grey Likes Weddings.  I could spend all day on Summer’s site, check it out here.

I will post more from this shoot next week, but for now, head on over to the east coast and see how Carrie Small Photography | Fayetteville, NC Photographer interpreted “fashion”!!

Fifty-two on-Friday : [7] Innocence

“A babe in the house is a well-spring of pleasure, a messenger of peace and love,
a resting place for innocence on earth, a link between angels and men” ~ Martin Fraquhar Tupper

Have you been enjoying this project that my friends and I have been doing? I know, I have. Today’s theme was innocence. What is more innocent than a sweet little baby girl? I just couldn’t think of anything else. I attempted to photograph my baby, but alas, she was giving me looks that were anything BUT innocent. You can start your circle by going all the way to the east coast and see how the amazing Carrie of  Carrie Small Photography | Fayetteville, NC Photographer visualized “innocence”.

Also, in other news, did you happen to read The Chronicles of Windy Ridge this week? If not, click here to see Kobe Bryant’s daughter and click here to see Milla Jokovich’s daughter all decked out in Eden’s Bouquet!!

Do you have plans for this weekend?  I’m going to visit one of my closest friends in Cleveland, Ohio.  She is expecting a beautiful baby boy and I will be attending her baby shower.  My sweet hubby is taking care of the kids, woohoo!!  Whatever your plans are, I hope you have a wonderful Presidents’ Day Weekend, everyone!!

Interviewed by Wendy Von Sosen

I am so thrilled when I was asked to be interviewed by Wendy, who is a fabulous photographer that I am doing the 52 week project with.  She interviews people on Tuesdays and the group of women that I have joined are amazing.  Many are photographers that I have looked to for inspiration.  Click here to read the interview and visit her wonderful blog.  Thank you, Wendy!!  Here is a little sneak peek of the Sabra Gown and Destiny Gown by Eden’s Bouquet.  Hope you’re having a great day!!

Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day, my friends.  Today, I went on a lunch date with my favorite little boy in the whole wide world.  I asked him, what do you want to eat?  He said he wanted french fries and I wanted an ice cream shake, so the only place to go was the Rock ‘n Roll Train Car Diner in Oceano.  This place is so much fun, especially for little boys who love TRAINS.

I brought along a Crush bottle (after being completely smitten by a session done by the ridiculously talented Jules Trandem, click here to see) and he had his first taste of strawberry soda.  Fortunately, he did not care for it because was warm (I did that on purpose, lol).  He was, though, thrilled at how wonderful his strawberry ice cream shake was.  We purposely chose the strawberry flavor since it was pink and it was Valentine’s Day.

I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch with him as he told me about his Valentine’s Day party at school and who was bossy and who was nice and who cries in class and everything else that was going on in his life.  Sometimes it’s hard for him to get a word in with two sisters around, lol.  It was a special day for me.  Unfortunately, this “CRUSH” picture is not for me, but a little girl whose name starts with “A” in his class, lol.  Oh, and our sweet server gave my son a tulip to give to me, how nice is that?!!  I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day.  My hubby and I are headed out to Rosa’s for dinner.  Leave a comment and tell me where you had your special dinner!!  XOXO!!
